We are the Burning Dirty Band, a four-piece collective of musical conspirators from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Our sound blends garage-marinated mutant blues, rollicking roots groove, and forward-thinking indie quirkiness. The BDB play Rock and Roll with a "wildly original approach to their muse... full of inspired instrumentation and raw fury" according to An Honest Tune magazine.

Our debut full-length album, "Caught", was recorded in the summer of 2002 with Steve West (Pavement, Marble Valley). It's 50-odd minutes of four guys with guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, vocals, a wayward accordion, some post-production weirdness, and a helluva lot of spontaneous soul. An even more focused follow-up album is currently underway, and the band has recently made forays into regional venues such as Top of the Stairs in Blacksburg, VA, The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA, and the Soundquilt Festival. Their third consecutive appearance at the Wilderness Jam festival in September will again provide a glimpse of a live band with an uncanny ear for dynamics, relentless musical inquisitiveness, and what Jesse Jarnow (AllMusic.com; Jambands.com) calls "a collective sense of humor that ties together distorted Allmans-style guitars... and group-composed weirdness"
